Obituary for Miriam Alvarado (Torres)
Of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Saturday evening July 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Hospital in Boston at the age of 67.
Born on August 17, 1951 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Juan Torres and Amparo Torres Flores, Miriam came from Puerto Rico to Waltham as a young woman and resided most of her life in Waltham until moving to Lawrence in 2005.
She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who loved and cared for her throughout her life.
Miriam is survived by her loving & devoted children Calixto Alvarado Jr and Deborah Alvarado both of Lawrence, her dear siblings Angela Reyes, Edna Zayas, Evelyn Torres, Juan Torres, Angel Torres and Jose Torres. In addition she is survived by 6 cherished grandchildren, a great grandson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews and cousins.
Dear sister of the late Ada Lee Torres and Ana Vega.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Miriam's Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Saturday morning June 22nd at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday morning prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
