Obituary for Scott A. Saunders

Of Wilmington formerly of Newton, passed away peacefully Friday December 21st, 2018 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington at the age of 54.

Born on February 24, 1964 in Waltham; beloved son of Elizabeth Saunders of Newton and the late Anthony Saunders, Scott was raised in Newton and had lived for a period of time in West Roxbury before moving to Wilmington 5 years ago. Scott loved to spend time with family and friends in Key West, Florida and Maine.

Scott graduated from Newton North High School with the Class of 1982 and continued his education at Suffolk University in Boston graduating with degree in finance. He had been employed in the service division of AARP for the past 12 years.

He was to say the least, a passionate and diehard Boston Red Sox Fan. He loved following the baseball team and had great seats for season tickets last year.

He is survived by his devoted & loving husband Jamie Wiley, his dear brother Mark S. Saunders of New Bedford, his cherished nieces & nephews; Lauren Ladino-Saunders, Amanda Ladino-Saunders, Andrew O'Donnell and Carter Grenier, a best friend and cousin Christine Saunders Clements, and cousins Mike Grenier and his wife Stefanie and Matthew Grenier and his wife Kristin, his many special aunts and uncles Mary Masterson and her husband the late Lawrence, Beverly McAndrews and her husband the late John, Mary Saunders and her husband the late Edward, Robert Saunders, Michael Saunders and his wife Marcy, Michelle Saunders, Raymond Grenier and his wife Rae, and the late Theodore Saunders and Geraldine Grenier, and his adored mother-in-law Marlene Wiley. In addition he is survived by many special cousins, close friends, and most importantly his loving cats "Bubbles" & Booski".

Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours in celebration of Scott's Life in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday Dec. 27th from 4 - 8 p.m.
