Margaret Quinlan
Of Waltham, died December15, 2009 after a lengthy illness at the Maristhill Nursing Home. She was 83.
Born and raised in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Michelina (Guglielmo) DeMeo. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and worked at the Purchasing Department for the City of Waltham for many years.
Mickey was active with the USO during World War II. She was a member of the Waltham Sons of Italy Regina Margarita Lodge. In her spare time she loved to knit, sing, and dance.
Ms. Quinlan was the sister of the late Alfred, Catherine “Kay” and Anne DeMeo.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Macarone and her husband Alan of Massachusetts, her loving sisters Josephine Cardillo of Florida, Rose Rizzo of Framingham, Helen M. Olivo of Waltham, and Dolores “Dolly” Grandinetti of Watertown, and her brother Joseph J. DeMeo of Glens Falls, New York. She is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled at a later date at Sacred Heart Church in Waltham.
