Obituary for Joseph "Pepino" DiCarlo

Joseph “Pepino” DiCarlo

Of Weymouth, passed away early Sunday morning, September 30, 2018 at the Seasons Hospice Milton Inpatient Center, after a lengthy illness. He was 73.

Born and raised in Civitaquana, Italy to the late Antonio and Anna DiCarlo, he moved to the United States when he was 16. When Mr. DiCarlo came to the United States he settled in Waltham, he raised his family in Hanover and Norwell, and settled in Weymouth more than 20 years ago.

Pepino worked as a Hairdresser for many years. He first owned and operated Salon DiCarlo in Norwell and then Salon DiCarlo II in Weymouth. He enjoyed what he did and loved going to work every day.

An avid sports fan, Joseph loved following all the Boston teams especially the Red Sox and Patriots. Most of all he loved spending time with his family

He is survived by his loving children Carolyn Elliott of Rockland, Joseph DiCarlo, Jr. of Virginia, and Alana Ahuja and her husband Harish of Brockton, his siblings Anna Doriana Monti and her husband Thomas of Waltham, Mary Payne and her husband Bill of Northborough, and Flavio DiCarlo and his wife Marie of Natick, and his cherished grandchildren Forest, J.R., Rebecca, and Cynthia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Alda Register, Wilma Maiocchi, and Esterina Milano.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Joseph’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moddy St., Waltham, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service, Wednesday from 9-11 am. Parking attendants will be on duty.
