Barbara P. Somers

Of Waltham, passed away Thursday evening August 23, 2018 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 71.

Born and raised in South Boston to the late William and Margaret (Curran) Somers, she spent 30 years in Brighton until moving to Waltham 10 years ago.

She worked as a Licensed Practicing Nurse for many years. She also worked in telemarketing.

Barbara was very family oriented and served person as a caregiver for many of her family members.

She is survived by her loving sister Mary Somers of Ogunquit, ME, and her nephews Mathew and Brian Somers both of Waltham, Justin Somers of Bangor, Maine, Martin Somers and his wife Pam of Sharon, and Michael Somers of Fall River.

She was the sister of the late William and Ann Somers, and aunt of the late Gerard Somers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service in celebration of Barbara’s life at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 1 pm.
