Aurora Bourque

Of Waltham passed away peacefully, Friday morning, August 3, 2018 at the Wingate of Weston Nursing Home. She was 93.

Born in Pawtucket, RI to the late Joseph and Eugenie Landry she has been a resident of Waltham for over 50 years. She was a resident of the Mill and served as the Vice President of the Mill Association for several years.

Mrs. Bourque worked in Quality Control for BASF for many years.

Aurora was a longtime parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo. She loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and solving word puzzles. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Aurora was the beloved wife of the late Paul Bourque, devoted mother of the late Joanne Lunny, mother-in-law of the late Kenneth Vaughan, and sister of the late Victory Landry, Yvonne Jessulat, Dolores Poirier, and Maurice Landry.

She is survived by her loving children Paulette Vaughan of Bedford, Phyllis Bourque of Billerica, and Janet DeSilva and her husband John of Norwood., her cherished grandchildren Michelle Gray, Paul Vaughan, Adam Chin, Colleen Plant, Evan Lunny, Alex DeSilva, and Lauren DeSilva, and her great grandchildren William, Aurora, Colin, Lucie, and Tyler.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend A Funeral Service in celebration of Aurora's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons,773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday morning, August, 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
