Obituary for Candida D. Flores (Padilla)

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning May 5th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston at the age of 76.

Born on October 3, 1941 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Angel Padilla and Juana Figueroa Padilla, Candida was raised in Puerto Rico and lived for several years in Newark, New Jersey before moving to Waltham in 1973.

Candida focused her life around caring for her family. She loved every moment spent with her husband, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Felix Flores, devoted & loving mother of Juan Rosado of Waltham, Yolanda Aviles of Waltham, Jose Rosado of Marlborough, Roberto Rosado of Waltham, Rosa Xona of Brockton, Amilda Padilla of Brockton, Edwin Jimenez of Waltham, Pedro Jimenez of Marlborough, Felix Flores Jr. of Marlborough and Louis Flores of Waltham, dear sister of Manuel Padilla of Marlborough and Iris Padilla of Puerto Rico. In addition she is survived by 28 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Candida's Life from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday morning May 11th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Thursday May 10th from 4 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
