Obituary for Silvio Cincotta

Of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully Friday evening April 27th, 2018 in the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater at the age of 94.

Born on August 16, 1923 in Filicudi, Italy; son of the late Salvatore Cincotta and Marian (Conti) Cincotta, Silvio immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. He resided in Waltham for many years before moving to Mattapoisett, Chatham and then to Bridgewater in 2000.

Silvio starting working part time as a Chef at City Hall Grill, the Chateau Restaurant and various local restaurants. He then worked as an Engraver for the Raytheon Corporation for many years. After his retirement he went back to work as a Chef at Eastward Ho Country Club in Chatham.

He was a member of the Sons of Italy Dante Algheri Lodge # 648, the Knights of Columbus, and served in several different capacities as Financial Secretary for the Filicudi St. Stephen Society of Waltham Massachusetts.

Silvio loved following horse racing, playing cards, fishing, bowling, gardening and traveling.

Beloved husband of the late Lucy A. (Defina) Cincotta.

He is survived by his devoted & loving children Stephen Cincotta and his wife Patricia (Close) Cincotta, Mary (Cincotta) McLaughlin of Raynham, and Donna (Cincotta) Capozzoli and her fiancé' Tony Innocenzi of Bridgewater, his cherished grandchildren Leslie, Lauren, Stephen, Allison, Doug and the late Jessica, and his dear brother Anthony Cincotta of Florida. In addition, he is survived by 8 adoring great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Dear brother of the late Amalia Orsogna, Yolanda Santolucito, Angelina Erba, Joseph & Steve Cincotta.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Silvio's Life on in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday afternoon May 2nd at 12:00 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held private for his family.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A 1st Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
