Obituary for Linda MacDonald

Of Waltham, passed away suddenly on Easter Sunday April 1st, 2018 in her residence at the age of 62.

Born on March 11, 1956 in Newton; beloved daughter of the late John "Jack" MacDonald and Mary (Smith) MacDonald, Linda was raised and educated in Newton before moving to Waltham where she lived most of her life.

A graduate of Newton High School with the Class of 1974, Linda worked as a Waitress throughout her life at Joseph's II Restaurant in Waltham.

Linda enjoyed reading and had a passion for the beach and ocean.

She is survived by her devoted & loving children Kelly Minassian and her husband Jeff of Norwood, Scott MacDonald and his loving companion Jennifer Kabler of Kansas City, KS, and Kimberley MacDonald of Watertown, her dear siblings Jack MacDonald and his wife Linda of Plymouth, Sharon Proia and her husband David of Waltham, Kevin MacDonald and his wife Lisa of Franklin and Milissa MacDonald of Clinton and her cherished grandsons Jack & Logan. In addition she is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends.

Loving sister of the late Diane Benoit and her husband the late Ronald.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Linda’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street WALTHAM on Friday afternoon April 6th at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215
