Lena M. (Ellera) Strom

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully, Thursday March 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 90.

Born and raised in Waltham to the late Biagio and Govinina (Tenglia) Ellera, she was a lifelong resident of Waltham and a 1947 graduate of Waltham High School.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing BINGO, arts and crafts and attending the Concerts on the Common. She was also a volunteer with the Wheels of Happiness. Lena will be missed by her many friends and family members.

She was the beloved wife of late Frederick Strom and the sister of the late Joseph Ellera and Sarah Cammisaro.

She is survived by her loving children Barbara Tucker and her husband Edward of Merrimack, NH, Robert Strom and his wife Jennifer of Salem, MA, Patricia Strom of Waltham, MA, William Strom of Waltham, MA, Susan Robichaud and her husband John Paul of Billerica, MA, and Thomas Strom and his wife Gail of Marion, MA, her sister Mary Zanco as well as her cherished grandchildren Kaitlyn Bebyn and her husband of Londonderry, NH, Gregory Tucker of Merrimack, NH, Eric Strom and his wife Emily of Milwaukee, WI, Dana Strom and his wife Felicia of Bethesda, MD, Rosemary Strom of Somerville, MA, Daniel Robichaud of Billerica, MA, James Robichaud of Billerica, MA, Hannah Strom of Marion, MA and David Strom of Marion, MA. She was also survived by her great grandchildren Derek Bebyn and Eleanor Strom as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend funeral services from Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St. Waltham, MA Tuesday April 3 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 145 School St. Waltham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
