Of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Sunday morning January 21st, 2018 in her home with loving family by her side at the age of 92.

Born on September 3, 1925 in Boston; beloved daughter of the late John and Benedetta (Attardo) Zammito, Fran resided in Waltham and Burlington for many years before moving to Plymouth.

Fran attended Waltham Schools and had been employed as a Supervisor for the Sylvania Corporation and retired from GTE in 1989.

For many years, Fran was an active and devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish Community in Waltham. She had been a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Church Holy Rosary Guild.

Family was the most important aspect of Fran's life; she was a devoted & loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother.

Fran was the devoted & loving mother of Bernadette O’Brien of Waltham, Kevin O’Brien of Sandwich, Maria Nelson of Wallingford, CT and the late James F. O’Brien Jr.; and dear sister of Josephine Galvagno of Newton, Pauline Zammito and Mary Bergantino both of Plymouth and the late John and Frank Zammito. In addition she is survived by 10 cherished grandchildren, 3 adored great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Frances Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM on Thursday morning at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm.
