Obituary for Catherine A. Trudeau (Monks)

Catherine A. (Monks) Trudeau, died at the age of 93 on Sunday morning December 10th 2017 at the Atrium at Faxon Woods in Quincy after a long illness.

The daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Murphy) Monks. Catherine was born, raised, educated In Waltham and was a lifelong resident. She was politically and socially active within the community. She was a past president of theWaltham Emblem Club and was active with the Nipper Maher Little League baseball program.Catherine worked at the Waltham district court for forty years. Mrs. Trudeau loved traveling in the US and all around the world with her late husband.Mrs. Trudeau and her husband were wonderful dancers, who received many accolades and received numerous awards.

Mrs. Trudeau was predeceased by her husband ofover 70 years Ernest A. Trudeau, her twin sister Geraldine DiLorenzo, her sister Shirley Newfell, her brother Harry Monks and her grandson Adam Trudeau.

She is survived by her five loving sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen & MaryAnn Trudeau of Melrose, William & Patricia Trudeau of Melrose, Thomas & Loretta Trudeau of Naples Florida and North Caldwell New Jersey, Joseph & Joan Trudeau of Medfield, and John & Natalie Trudeau of Pembroke and her sister, Anna May Vannesse. She was also survived her 8 cherished grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Thursday at 8 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School St., Waltham, at 9 a.m. Interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
