Donald Leo Lacharite, Sr.

Of Ashland passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home. He was 69.

Born and raised in Lawrence to the late Robert and M.R. Rita (Audy) LaCharite, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Donald moved from Lawrence to Sudbury and spent some time living in Marlborough before settling in Ashland 13 years ago.

Mr. Lacharite worked as a Millwright for Raytheon in Waltham for 49 years.

In his spare time Donald enjoyed spending time at his home in Kennebunk, Maine with his loving wife and taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic Cit and Twin River. He was also a Disney World enthusiast where he made numerous trips. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren

He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Sandra (Zanghi) Lacharite, his devoted children Lisa Longmuir and her husband Mark of Tamworth, NH, Donald L. LaCharite, Jr. of Somersworth, NH, and Christian LaCharite and his wife Tracey (Ronayne) of Bellingham, his step-son Donald Bardsley and his wife Stephanie (Leydon) of Bellingham, his brother Arthur LaCharite and his wife Cynthia (Ruel) of Dedham, and his cherished grandchildren Michael, Eric, and Ashley Longmuir, Jacob, Brittney, Autumn, and Emily, Lacharite, and Kaitlin, Kailey, and Addison Bardsley and his great grandchildren Jethro and Taylor Mae. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Camille Giles and her husband Tom of Natick, and Joanne Zanghi of Waltham, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the beloved brother of the late Paul LaCharite

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Donald's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. Visting hours will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Donald's memory to a charity of one's choice.
