Of Norwood, passed away in the arms of her loving husband November 18, 2017, at age 70.
Born May 4, 1947, daughter to the late Regina and Vincent Kavolius and resident of Norwood for over 60 years. Graduate of Saint Catherine of Siena and Norwood High School. Mary received a BA from Northeastern University.
Mary had an unwavering desire for knowledge. She shared this passion for learning as a teacher of dental health at numerous institutions; including Mt. Ida College, Middlesex Community College, Northeastern University, Massasoit Community College, Massachusetts Dental Society and Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. She was a columnist for the Academy of General Dentistry and Impact Journal and an editorial advisor for comprehensive dental assisting for Wolters Kluwer and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Publishers.
Mary enjoyed not only teaching, she loved gardening, arts & crafts, and decorating. She had a great eye and a penchant for detail. She was an avid collector of jewelry and beautiful scarves. Mary's devotion to share her wisdom, compassion and generosity influenced all those she encountered. It is her enormous heart that will be remembered most.
Mary was the beloved wife of John Charles Frohn III, loving mother of Jennifer C. Frohn and her fiancé Ian J.A. Titcomb of Weymouth and Jaclyn C. Diffily and her husband Brian P. of Springfield, NJ, dear sister of Ann R. Narbut of Norwood and cherished grandmother “Mimi” of Weston R. Diffily.
Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St.,(Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, Monday, November 27 at 8am. Funeral Mass in Saint Catherine's Church, Norwood at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6pm.
