Wanfeng Peng

Of Waltham, passed away Wednesday night, November 8, 2017 following his brave battle with cancer. He was 45.

Born in Qianshan, China to his loving parents Xuebao Peng and Yunzhi Ge of China, Wanfeng was a gifted and hard working young man who always excelled in school . He moved to the United States in 1994 to attend Brown University where he received his Master's Degree in Chemistry. After graduating from Brown Wanfeng attended The University of Rhode Island where he received his Master's Degree in Computer Science. He has been a resident of Waltham since 2004.

In 2015 Wanfeng was employed by Optum/Dovetailhealth as Director of Analytics. He was a driven professional with a thirst for knowledge. When diagnosed with cancer he remained dedicated in his work and in his will to fight his illness. He remained a brave, iron-willed man even through his final days.

Wanfeng loved to read and was passionate about programming, analytics, literature, history and mythology.

Besides his parents he is survived by his loving wife Wei He, and his cherished children Monica and James. He will forever be remembered as a brilliant manager, an engaging professional, a caring husband, father and son, and a brave warrior. May his soul rest peacefully.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM. Interment will be private. Parking attendants will be on duty.
