Anna (Leger) LeBlanc,
beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother lived her 88 years with kindness to all, love in her heart, and a radiant energy that affected all who were near. “Memere” lived her life with dedication to her family, and to God.
Anna was born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada and carried the ties to her family there and her French Canadian heritage throughout her life. As a young woman, she moved to Waltham, MA with her husband, Emile LeBlanc, where they lived for over 40 years, and raised seven children, who learned their prayers in French, the best way to make poutine, and how to live life with positivity and unconditional love. Anna had a zest for life; she truly appreciated life and expressed how grateful she was to be alive. She found joy and happiness in simple blessings. Anna’s family will always remember and treasure her smile and the sound of her infectious laugh, so hard for her to control, and so impossible to not join in. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She also loved returning to New Brunswick to spend time with her siblings. Anna is the daughter of the late Joseph and Elise (Allain) Leger, and the sister of the late Lina, Dolores, Juliette, Therese, Alban, Leo, and Aurele Leger.
A woman of deep faith, Anna was a daily communicant at St. Charles Borromeo Church. After moving to Woburn, MA, she continued her unwavering faith as a parishioner at St. Barbara’s Church in Woburn. She passed away on July 26, with the same dignity that guided her life.
Anna is survived by her husband Emile LeBlanc, and her seven children: Don LeBlanc and his wife Jean of Waltham, Linda Lazaro and her husband Rick of Lancaster, Paul LeBlanc and his wife Kathy of Hingham, Therese Bergstrom and her husband David of Naples, Maine, Carol Docherty and her husband Ken of Framingham, Diane Green and her husband Steve of Belmont, and Denise Stabile and her husband Stephen of North Andover.
She was also loved and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ryan Lazaro and his wife Amy (Will, Mia, Emma), Derek Lazaro and his wife Kristina (Anthony, Sophie), Jill Lazaro and her fiancé Ryan Frost, Caitlin LeBlanc Reichart and her husband Brian, Bridget LeBlanc Nims and her husband Josh, Scott Bergstrom, Paul LeBlanc jr., Nicholas Docherty, Annelise Bergstrom, Stephen Stabile jr., Julianna Stabile, and Ashley Green.
