Obituary for Anna Fei Fei (Maione)

Anna (Maione) Fei

Of Wayland formerly of Waltham passed early Thursday morning, July 13, 2017 at the Season Hospice in Milton. She was 92.

She was born and raised in Naples, Italy, to the late Ciro and Rosa (Mosca) Maione. Mrs. Fei had a difficult life while living in Italy, her parents died young and she had to quit school and raise her 7 younger siblings. She also survived World War II in Italy.

Anna Worked as a dressmaker for the Sampson-Altman Co. in Waltham as a young woman, and was a member of the Seamstress Labor Union.

In her spare time Anna enjoyed sewing and gardening with her sisters, teaching the art of cuisine to her family members, and summering in Nantucket. She also enjoyed singing, reading, knitting, and in her later days taking day trips. Most of all she loved to be with her family.

She was the beloved wife of 66 years of the late Adriano Fei and sister of the late Domenic Maione and Luisa DiSanza.

She is survived by her devoted children Maria Fei of Wayland, Ciro Fei and his wife Lisa Nogueira-Fei of Pepperell, and Robert Fei and his wife Beverly (Hiltz) of Wellesley, her brother Giovanni Maione of Waltham, her sisters Elvira and Maria Zottola, Giuseppina Aismondo , and Carmela Pandolfi all of Waltham, and her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Andrea, David, Robert, Alessandra, and Daniela Fei. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and loving dog Este.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Monday at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Anna's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, from 3-5p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
