Obituary for Jake

James E. “Jake” “Moose” Regan IV
Of Falmouth passed away from the disease of addiction on May 20, 2017.
Jake was born in Hyannis on May, 1,1988. He was raised in Mashpee and has been a Cape Cod resident his entire life. He attended Mashpee Elementary and Middle Schools, and then graduated from New Hampton Academy in New Hampton, New Hampshire, class of 2006.
Jake was known to always have a smile on his face. If you asked those who knew and loved him, “he could light up a room, simply by walking into it”, always quick with a joke and ready to offer help in any way he could to others. In Jake’s life a stranger was only a friend not yet to be made. During his school years he loved and played football, he was an outstanding long stick lacrosse player and the center position for the 2006 championship football team “The Huskies” at New Hampton Academy.
He was an entrepreneur in construction, landscaping, paving, plowing and tree maintenance for the past several years.
Jake enjoyed everything about the outdoors. In his life he enjoyed playing sports: skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, swimming, jet skiing, boating, fishing, and dirt biking. He spent time playing poker with friends on Friday nights and always cheering on Boston sport teams. Jake was often dancing to the beat of his own drum. He loved to dance and sing along to songs even if he didn’t even know the words.
Jake was always rooting for the underdog, while struggling with his own personal challenges. He was committed to overcoming his addiction with a strong passion for Narcotics Anonymous through sharing his experience, strength, and hope.
He was the maternal grandson of the late Herbert R. & Roseann ( Solimine ) Swyers. Jake leaves three beautiful daughters Isabell Regan, Madelynn Regan and Aria O’Neil and his loving soulmate Bianca Davis. His parents James E. “Jamie” & Debbie ( Swyers ) Regan III of Mashpee, his paternal grandparents James E. & Phyllis ( Lopez ) Regan II., of Waltham & Mashpee, his sister Katelynn Regan of Colorado, and Isabell’s mother Amanda Ecker. His uncles and aunts, David, Kimberly and Timothy Regan and his wife Deborah, Jean Harvey, Billy Swyers, Diane Taber. Many great aunts, great uncles, and many cousins.
A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Friday May 26, 2017 from 4PM to 8PM. A funeral service will follow by a Mass at Christ the King Church in Mashpee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 27, 2017. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jake’s memory to the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, P.O box #895, Mashpee, MA 02649. The Brasco & Sons Memorial
