Luigina 'Gina" ( Moretti ) Martorilli 87,

Of Waltham died Sunday at Wingate of Needham after a brief illness.

Born in Carpenito, Abruzzi, Italy she has been a Waltham resident for the past 20 years, moving here from Abruzzi.

Gina while living here truly enjoyed her gardening, which she enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with neighbors and friends alike. Her second love was her family style cooking and her reward was in watching those who would partake enjoying her creations with delight.

No greater smile came to her when she was among her family for gatherings and get togethers.

She was the daughter of the late Carlo & Margherita ( Natale ) Moretti, sister of the late Sabbatino Morretti and the wife of the late Palmarino Martorilli and grandmother of the late Serena Martorilli.

Gina is survived by her Sons, Carmine V. Martorilli and his companion Joan McGrath of Framingham, Nick Martorilli & his wife Debra ( Maxwell ) Martorilli, her grandchildren, Nick Martorilli Jr., Mario Martorilli, Danny Martorilli, her great grandchildren Kailyn Martorilli, Rachel and Mya Martorilli. In addition she leaves Several Nieces & Nephews & Cousins.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Luigina's at the Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours will be in the Mary Catherine Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will follow in the family lot at Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.
