Of Waltham passed away surrounded by his family, Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Wingate of Weston Nursing Home. He was 68.
Born and raised in a Galicia, Spain to the late Francisco and Amparo (Rey) Dopazo, Angel moved from Spain to Brookline when he was 18, he spent some time in Belmont and has been a resident of Waltham for the past 25 years.
Angel was a self employed builder and contractor. He flipped houses for many years.
In his spare time Angel enjoyed fishing, skiing, traveling, and dancing, at one time he was a professional dancer. Angel also enjoyed soccer and was a Youth Soccer coach in Brookline in his younger days. Most of all, Angel loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Odilia (Vivanco) Dopazo, his devoted children Veronica Salgado of Waltham, Claudia Vivanco of Waltham, Fabiola Salgado of Waltham, Richard Dopazo of Brookline, Anthony Dopazo of Brookline and Vanessa Dopazo of Brookline, and his cherished grandchildren Sebastian, Alexander, Chayanne, Nicholas, Christopher, Markus, Gabriella, and Luna.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of Angel's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
