Of Waltham, passed away with her loving grandson Brian by her side on Thursday morning January 5th, 2017 at the age of 84.

Born on May 4, 1932 in Waltham; daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Cullen) LeBrun, Louise was raised in Waltham and had resided in Burlington for many years before returning to Waltham in the 90’s.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1950, Louise was a Skate Instructor and Manager for the Wal-Lex Skating & Bowling Entertainment Center on Lexington Street in Waltham for over 50 years. Through the years she had various jobs with the Dowd Company in Burlington and Bentley University in Waltham.

Although Louise lived in Burlington for many years her heart belonged in Waltham. She was an active and devoted member of the Waltham community serving on many civic and charitable organizations. She was an active member of the Waltham Historical Society and helped continuously with the Waltham Veterans Circle of Remembrance on the Waltham Common.

Her love of family was evident in how she cared for each of her grandchildren. She had a passion for hockey and following the Boston Bruins; but more proudly attending her grandson’s hockey games. Louise was in essence a “Hockey Mom”. She was so proud of each of her grandchildren and go out her way to provide them with anything and everything they needed.

Her volunteering continued with the North Waltham Little League and as a “Shack Mother” at the Babe Ruth Baseball League even after her grandchildren had moved on.

Louise had a strong faith in her God and for the years spent in Burlington she was an active & devoted member of Saint Margaret’s Church in Burlington and while in Waltham Saint Mary’s Parish Community.

Beloved wife of the late Bruce Hamilton who predeceased her in 1978 and dear sister of the late Lorraine Aucoin.

Louise is survived by her loving children Debbie Withrow of Watertown and John Hamilton of Waltham, her cherished grandchildren Jennifer Ronan of Framingham, Brian Aucoin of Waltham, Waltham Police Officer D.J. Aucoin of Wilmington, Michael and Benjamin Hamilton both of Waltham, her adoring great grandchildren Raven Ronan, Easton Ronan and Max Aucoin, and her dear siblings Dorothy “Dolly” LeBrun and Richard LeBrun both of Waltham. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Louise’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning Jan. 9th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary’s Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held Private for the Family. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel prior to the Funeral Mass on Monday from 9 – 9:45 a.m. Parking attendants on duty.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Louise’s memory to the Waltham Historical Society, 190 Moody St # 330, Waltham, MA 02453.
