Of Newton, formerly of Waltham and Clinton, CT, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 22nd He was 47.
Born in Hartford, CT, he is the son of Elinor Dolan Giovine and the late Pasquale N. Giovine. Marc moved to Waltham 17 years ago and recently settled in Newton.
Marc was a graduate of Morgan High School in Clinton, CT and attended Central Connecticut State University. He previously worked at NOVA Biomedical in Waltham for over 12 years and was currently employed at Olympus in Waltham for the past 5 years.
Marc was a diehard Boston sports fan, especially of his beloved Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed playing the guitar, performing magic tricks for his niece and nephew, and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Marc had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He will be remembered as a kind and faithful friend who would always be willing to lend a helping hand.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother Paul N. Giovine and his wife Michelle (Beermuender) and his cherished niece and nephew Morgan and Matthew of Framingham, and his uncle Joseph A. Dolan of New Haven, CT.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Thursday, October 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Pl., New Haven, CT, Saturday, October 29 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven, CT.
