Of Waltham, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 76
Born and raised in Waltham to Philip and Sara (Tantillo) Collura, she was a lifelong resident of Waltham.
Madeline found joy in her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to keep busy and to cook for all of her family and friends. Described as silly, she had a great sense of humor and a unique sense in fashion. Most of all she will be remembered by her positive attitude which she managed to keep right up until her final moments.
She was the devoted wife of the late Charles H. Bennett, Sr., and the devoted mother of the late James P. Bennett. She was the sister of the late Sarah, John, Joseph, and Charlie Collura.
She is survived by her loving children Stephen Bennett and his wife Michele (Parent) of Waltham, Charles H. Bennett, Jr. of Florida, and Victoria Casella and her husband Mark of Waltham, her brothers Philip Collura of Florida and Peter Collura and his wife Phyllis of Waltham, and Mary DiNallo and her husband Mario of Woburn, and her cherished grand children Stephen Bennett of Marlborough, Jessica Bennett of Waltham, Valerie and Emily Casella both of Waltham, Vanessa Bennett of Waltham, and Nicholas Bennett of Waltham. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Tammy (O'Brien) and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 145 School St. at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
