Of Waltham, passed away peacefully late Friday evening July 17th, 2016 in the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Weston at the age of 91.
Born on April 8, 1925 in Concord; Mary came to Waltham after her marriage to her beloved husband Stephen and has been a resident for the past 70 years.
Mary was employed as a Hairdresser in her younger years, but for the most part of her life she was a devoted and loving homemaker to her family. Her family was everything and the single most important aspect of her life.
She had a love of animals and a special gift to care for and nurture them.

Mary is survived by her devoted & loving sons Stephen J. Giardina Jr. and his wife Cynthia (Barahona) Giardina of Natick, David R. Giardina and his wife Roseann (Hinds) Giardina of Waltham and Thomas W. Giardina of Waltham, her cherished grandchildren Lauren Giardina, Anthony, Michael and Bianca DeStefano, her great grandchildren Dante, Gabriella, and Angelo, and dear sister of Joseph Faricelli of Needham and the late Jean DiSano of Malden.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mary's Life in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
