Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of Joan. I remember her as a kind and caring person who had the best sense of humor. I look back and remember you and I and Ed and Joan double dating and going to the drive-in and having a ball. I also remember the great time we all had going to the World's Fair in New York.
Joan and I also worked together at Utica Mutual on Wyman Street. We loved going to the office parties and of course Joan was the life of the party. I will miss her. May she rest in peace.....

Condolence From: Neal Walker
Condolence: Joan was a principal companion of my youth. Together with Rick Gorman, Joan and I were more like siblings well into our teens. Somehow all our families fit into a tiny cottage in Marshfield and we shared glorius summers we never thought would end. Joan was funny, she was comforting and we shared all the experiences of growing up together.
For some unexplainable reason my enduring memory of her was when Tom came to Marshfield when they were dating. The three of us rode back to Watertown in Tom's car and my mind's picture is of the three of us on 128 (not I 95 then) passing under the Mass Pike and roaring laughter about some long forgotten subject.
Our lives took different paths for so many years. She and Tommy had kids, they grew up and it was only at funerals that we might see each other. After my Dad died in 2012 and Joan came to his funeral I wanted to reconnect with her. We finally did. Sandy and I had dinner with Joan and Tommy at the Chateau last year and it was a wonderful reunion full of talk of our families and summers long ago. We exchanged Christmas cards and were on the verge of meeting again when Tommy called me to tell me she was gone. I am struck and in pain at her loss. I truly loved Joan, she made it easy to love her.
