Of Belmont, passed away peacefully Saturday evening February 13th, 2016 at the Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge at the age of 92.
Born on August 10, 1923 in Belmont; beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Busa) Arno, Lavinia was raised, educated and had been a lifelong resident of Belmont.
A graduate of Belmont High School, Lavinia was employed as a Buyer’s Agent with the Raytheon Corporation for over 50 years.
Lavinia was devoted to her faith and had been a daily communicant of Saint Luke’s Parish in Belmont. She was a family oriented person with her true passion in life to care for her parents and nieces & nephews.
Dear sister of the late Catherine Rizzuto, Mary Tortorella, Josephine Giangregorio, Gertrude Cavalen and Guy Arno.
Lavinia is survived by her devoted and loving nieces & nephews Nicholas Rizzuto, Joseph Rizzuto, Frank Tortorella, Joanne Mazzola, Terry Mancini, David Giangregorio, Rosalie Cunio, Janet Cornella, Arlene Haskell, Janet McWeeney, David Arno and Robert Arno. In addition she is survived by numerous adoring great nieces & nephews.
Cherished aunt of the late Leonard Rizzuto, Nicholas Rizzuto, Jr., Michael Giangregorio,Jr. and Guy Arno Jr.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Saturday morning Feb. 20th at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Lavinia’s Life at Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Meadow Cemetery in Belmont. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday Feb. 19th from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
