Of Hudson formerly of Waltham, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, April 30, 2015, at his home. He was 82.
Born and raised in Waltham to the late Giuseppe and Rosaria (DeMeo) Tomao, he was a longtime resident of Waltham before moving to hudson 18 years ago. He was a 1949 graduate of the Waltham Vocational High School.
Mr. Tomao was a self-employed machinist and owned and operated Altron Machine in Waltham. When he was younger Anthony owned Southside Billiards on the corner of Robbins and Moody St.
Anthony enjoyed going to the Horse Track, he was an avid sports fan, and loved Disney, but most of all Anthony loved being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Alice C. (Walsh) Tomao, his devoted children Tony Tomao and his wife Nancy (Pereira) of Bedford, Karen Tomao of Hudson, Joe Tomao and his wife Carolyn (Westberg) of Framingham, and Robin Lyons and her husband Stephen of Hudson, his sister Olga Ferro and her husband Rick of CA, and his brother Geno Tomao and his wife Charlotte of Burlington, and his brother-in-law James Walsh and his wife Carol of Waltham. He is also survived his dear friends Ron and Elaine Pelletier, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Anthony's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment of ashes will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Parking attendants will be on duty.
