Of Northborough, passed away early Wednesday morning March 26th, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57.
Born on December 20, 1956 in Ireland; son of the late John O’Sullivan and Bridget (Burke) O’Sullivan, David was raised in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland but lived in the Boston area most of his life until moving to Northborough 10 years ago.
David was a self employed contractor throughout his life. He enjoyed working with his hands as a handyman and helping both family & friends with home improvements.
Family was the most important aspect of David’s Life. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a passionate fan of Kerry football, playing the lottery and taking care of his dog “Bruiser”.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Abina (Cremin) O’Sullivan, his loving children Joanne MacKay and her husband Andrew of Northboro, and David O’Sullivan of Dorchester, his dear siblings Timothy O’Sullivan of Hyde Park, Chris O’Rourke and Kay Gannon both of Newton, Mary Mangan, Nora Kelliher, Eileen Mahony. In addition he is survived by numerous cherished nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
He was the brother of the late Bridget O'Callaghan.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of David’s Life at the Church of the Holy Name, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Monday March 31st at 10:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Sunday March 30th from
2 - 6 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
